Rachel Nichols began her career reporting for The Washington Post (1996-2004) and the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel (1995-1996). Nichols worked at ESPN in New York from 2004-2013 and later returned to the network in 2016; after she was an anchor and reporter at CNN and Turner Sports where she worked as a sideline reporter for the NBA and NCAA Tournament broadcasts. During her first tenure at ESPN, she covered major events, breaking news and high-profile interviews. She was often an anchor on SportsCenter, NFL Countdown, and Outside the Lines. She wa also a sideline reporter on Monday Night Football. In 2007, she became an original correspondent to launch E:60, which is a primetime newsmagazine. Now, she is the host of The Jump, which is focused on the NBA and contributes to SportsCenter, at time hosts Outside the Lines and contributes to E:60 (ESPN Press Room).
